As described in our blog post, this smoky, dirt-floored dibiterie (grilled-meat purveyor) is one of the city's most legendary, said to be the favorite of musician Youssou N’dour. The meat is cut into small pieces, coated in a spicy cornmeal-esque powder (called cancan) & served with grilled onion, mustard & delicious bread. (Though this dibi is Niger-style, not Senegalese-style, you'll see "dibi Haoussa" is just as popular in the capital.) It's worth seeking out after an afternoon shopping in chaotic Marche Sandaga.
Now I shall break our word-limit rules to try & give directions: Walking north on Av Jean Jaures toward the Sandaga bus station, make a right on the street that is opposite the big Centre Comercial El Malick. On the north side of that street, look for an open, unmarked door with smoke-streaked blue light inside. That's the spot.
