Akara

Akara is a West African dish of black beans and onions and spices, fried up like fritters or croquettes, then served with a sauce of onions, peppers and chili sauce. It can be very spicy, which is great. On the street they usually serve it in a baguette, but I generally only eat in fancy restaurants, so this is a more civilized presentation.
