While the dish will not win any awards for beauty, black relleno is actually much tastier than it appears. The broth’s color comes from black recado – a local seasoning made from the anato seed. The soup contains chicken and a spongy ‘dumpling’ made from ground pork, eggs, onions and spices. Try it at popular Sunny’s Restaurant.
