This is the kind of dish that you have to try if you come to Denmark! A platter of herrings, prepared in several different ways, with brown bread is a very popular lunch dish in Copenhagen. This plate included pickled, marinated, fried, and in curry sauce. All served with red onion & brown bread, it's great with a cold beer any time of year.
