Amaseena at Ritz Carlton JBR Submitted by: souhil

Most people that don’t live in the area hate going to Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) in Dubai – known for its traffic and lack of parking. Now that the construction of the tram is completed and the traffic light system has been improved, the traffic flow has improved. Based on the recommendations of blog.dineinthecity.com, my wife and I decided to try Amaseena at Ritz Carlton JBR. We knew having dinner at any Ritz Carlton dining outlets allows us to use the valet service at no cost, so really, there is no reason for us not to go to JBR anymore :)

When we arrived we noticed the Ritz Carlton is set on a beautifully landscaped area with grass, trees and beach. Nestled in a corner near the smaller pool is Amaseena, a collection of Arabian tents and a small buffet with live music. They informed us that they are open only in the cooler months of the year. Apparently Amaseena is changing the selection of the buffet with regional theme nights (e.g., Moroccan, Syrian, etc.) and it's not so extensive for a restaurant in JBR. We could tell our dishes were carefully prepared. Walking around the buffet it is impossible not to be charmed by the chefs who are eager to show you around the buffet, serve fresh dishes at your table, grill a selection of meats and seafood, or explain what is in each dish, all with a heartfelt smile. Although I recommend the venue to friends and family, one of its charms is also that it is quite small-scale, so I hope Amaseena can hold on to that atmosphere!
