I love the Connecticut version of the lobster roll- no mayo, but instead a nice, low-key smathering of butter. You can spend days in the summer hugging the coastline of this state (hopefully avoiding 95), trying each roll. Abbotts in Noank is a great spot out on the water with a ton of picnic tables and a menu filled with seafood. As you would expect, the sandwiches are not cheap in the summer, but each bite on the plan roll makes it worth it. I ordered their famous clear broth chowder as well, but didn't pick it up when they called my number. I think I was too busy eating the lobster.
